1. Information We Do NOT Collect
ImageMates is designed with privacy by default. We do not collect, process, store, or transmit:
- Your prompts - Text prompts remain on your device only
- Generated images - All images are stored locally on your Mac
- Usage patterns - We don't track how you use the app
- Personal information - No names, emails, or demographics
- Device information - No hardware specs or system details
- Location data - We don't access your location
- Browsing history - ImageMates doesn't access web data
- Files or folders - We only access files you explicitly select
2. How ImageMates Works Locally
🤖 AI Model Storage
FLUX models are downloaded once and stored in ~/Library/Application Support/ImageMates/Models on your Mac. These files never leave your device.
🖼️ Image Processing
All image generation, editing, and processing happens locally using Apple's Metal framework for optimal performance and privacy.
💾 Local Storage
Generated images are saved to your chosen location (default: Pictures/ImageMates). All data remains under your control.
🔐 No Cloud Sync
ImageMates doesn't use cloud services. Your library exists only on your Mac, ensuring complete privacy.
3. Network Usage
ImageMates only uses your internet connection for:
✅ Initial Model Downloads
When you choose to download a FLUX model, we connect to Hugging Face or the model provider to download the files directly to your Mac.
✅ Software Updates
ImageMates checks for app updates through the Mac App Store or our update service. No personal data is transmitted.
❌ No Data Transmission
Your prompts, images, settings, and usage data are never transmitted over the internet.

When you download ImageMates from the Mac App Store:
- Apple handles the download and installation process
- Apple may collect anonymized download statistics
- We don't receive any information about who downloaded the app

For direct downloads from our website, we use standard web analytics to understand traffic patterns, but this data is not linked to your app usage.

We don't integrate with social media, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. Your data stays private.

Since all your data remains on your Mac, security depends on your system:
